Being Recognized by CIOs for Sharing Ideas
The only thing more satisfying than seeing one of our solutions being viewed by CIOs as a leading solution is to be recognized for helping them understand how we can impact their business. I was quite flattered to be recognized at the Midsize Enterprise Summit attendees in their inaugural Top 50 Midmarket IT Vendor Executive list, along with our ShoreTel Dock winning the awards for Most Innovative Technology and for Best Boardroom Case Study Presentation, presented by myself at the conference.
The overall simplicity of operation of a ShoreTel solution enables me to demonstrate a live production solution in every executive boardroom presentation, with only 5 minutes to have it set up each time. I demonstrated the ShoreTel Dock and ShoreTel Mobility, along with our entire suite of integrated applications. Work is not a place, it’s a function. The audience observed how I am able to work anywhere – from sharing a presentation from my iPhone in the 30 minute taxi from the airport to the hotel, to using an iPad in the hotel room to send an instant message to a person on my team, to using a Mac or PC when in the office. Bonus points for showing how I can present from my iPhone in front of the audience, and have an iPad, Mac and PC all follow along in sync with me right in front of them. Our team presented to more than 250 CIOs, highlighting how successful businesses eliminate complexity for employees with ShoreTel solutions, resulting in higher productivity. Stephen Wilson, author of many books on the subject, concludes in his research that organizations that apply these principles are more profitable since employees are able to meet their goals.
I’ve always believed in making life simple, by eliminating the ways of the past. It’s a pleasure to share this with others, and help them do the same.
