Stephens Scown Solicitors Overrules Outdated Communications by Choosing ShoreTel
Stephens Scown Solicitors is one of the leading law firms in the South West of England, ranked for quality of service and legal advice in the independent legal guides, Legal 500 and Chambers. It employs over 200 staff and 40 partners across three offices in Exeter, Truro and St Austell.
In order to adapt to its exponential growth in recent years, Stephens Scown Solicitors decided to integrate a Unified Communication platform across its 40 sites. Following its move to cloud computing in order to improve flexibility, the organisation investigated three different UC systems before selecting ShoreTel’s platform, implemented by e-know.net. In accordance with the law firm’s requirements, the ShoreTel UC solution was able to extend the functionality of a desk phone to mobile devices.
ShoreTel met Stephens Scown Solicitors’ requirements by allowing it to offer a much more personable service to its clients, providing customer information quickly and effectively. The next step for the organisation is to extend mobility to tablets, which will not only provide cost-savings by utilising the law firm’s own cloud network, but will also allow Stephens Scown Solicitors to provide a better service to its customers.
“As the organisation grew, our equipment did not grow with us, which resulted in costly maintenance.” said Dean Mostert, IT Director at Stephens Scown Solicitors. “ShoreTel was a natural choice, as it was best suited to a cloud-based service, and we could integrate it with Microsoft Outlook, as well as send voicemails from our desk phones straight to mobile devices.”
